DaVita Is the Clear Leader in Quality Dialysis Care

At DaVita, we're committed to improving kidney care. DaVita has the highest percentage of facilities meeting or exceeding CMS's standards in the government's two key performance programs the Five-Star Quality Rating System and the Quality Incentive Program (QIP), compared to the rest of the industry. Learn more about each program—and about how this information can be helpful when you choosing the dialysis care right team that is right for you.

What does this mean for our kidney care patients?

Five-Star Quality Rating System: The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) created this rating system as a way to help patients decide where they want to receive care by providing more information about dialysis center performance. For three years in a row, DaVita has outperformed the rest of the industry, with more four- or five-star rated centers.* To learn more about the CMS Five-Star Quality Rating System, check out these frequently asked questions.

Quality Incentive Program (QIP): QIP is part of CMS's end stage renal disease (ESRD) program to encourage dialysis centers to meet or exceed certain performance standards. DaVita centers outperform the industry in the top clinical performance tier.
