What's everyone saying?
This rocks!
Where is the meat in this recipe? It says 2 meats. This isn't going to fill me up. Dietitian comment: The eggs count as the 2 meats (actually 2 protein choices). You could add additional breakfast items like fruit, perhaps a homemade sausage patty and a beverage for more calories.
Tried it , it was good ,I added the salsa and a lil salt .not much...yes very good ..I only had one burrito.
Haven't tried it yet but will over the holidays
Very tasty and great because i have residents that leave for dialysis before breakfast is served so yhia can be prepared on advanced. Thank you for this submission
This is very good. I make it often.
I am spice sensitive so for this recipe I used green pepper chopped in place of salsa and just 2 drops of tabasco on cooked egg white. Yum. I am curious about what the changes mean for nutrition values.
Not much on this site to help one if you are vegan, gluten sensitive, and have ckd. There must be dietitians somewhere that could put out a cookbook addressing these issues.
I really love DaVita,it helps me to manage my diet. Thank you very much.
Tried it, yummy! !
I used the Homemade Pan Sausage, Egg Beaters, & Go Veggie (smoked provolone)!!! Delicious!!!!!
Made these with egg substitute omitted chills and used fresh mushrooms sautéed in olive oil, and garlic with a dab of worchestershire. Excellent!
I have never seen a burrito size tortilla with less than 350 mg of sodium, so wary about the accurate micronutrient count in this recipe. What brand burrito are you using? Dietitian comment: La Suprema and Guerrera brands by Mission Foods and Old El Paso brand burrito size tortillas are around 300 mg each.
I'm new here and stage 3CKD. I'm on restricted sodium, but most of the recipes I'm seeing are much higher in sodium than the recommended no higher than 140 mg per serving. Why is this? Dietitian comment: The guideline for 140 mg sodium is for a single item defined as low sodium. When looking at the sodium content of a recipe you must consider the number of ingredients and how it fits into your meal plan[INVALID]entree, side dish, condiment, etc.
Seems awfully high in sodium..Dietitian comment: Consider how it fits into your daily menu. If included as the main entree and complemented with a low sodium side like fruit this recipe is a good fit for a low sodium diet.
Quick and easy and good
could this be made with a variety of colors of sweet peppers & my homemade pan sausage? Dietitian comment: Yes. You can enter the ingredients into the Diet Helper Nutrition Log to view nutrients per serving with thses changes.
These were great; super easy and my picky kids even ate them and asked for more.
Interesting. I didn't think of sodium in salsa sauce!
Sounds very good - can't wait to try it!
I LOVE THE RECIPES, BUT I AM A DIABETIC. I NEED TO KNOW PORTION SIZE, SINCE THIS IS MY BIG PROBLEM.
